PLA Lightweight is a material that changes its structure when heated in the nozzle. The additives inside the polymer rapidly expand during printing, giving the filament a distinctive foamy structure.

	Due to the polymer's rapid expansion, the prints are up to 65 % lighter. This makes it perfectly suitable for any project where every gram counts. This includes drones, planes, airships, and other projects meant to fly.
The material's foamy structure significantly decreases filament consumption. It is possible to print 2-3 times as many models from one spool as with regular PLA.
	The printed models get a highly attractive matte, rough surface finish. The resulting texture hides the layer lines characteristic of FDM 3D printing, making it a great choice for interior design and other applications where a visible 3D-printing structure isn't desired.
The high number of air pockets inside the polymer works as a thermal insulator. Some specific applications may benefit from this feature: bottle sleeves, thermal box insulation inserts, etc
	The lightweight properties are also great for making cosplay props and costume parts, as they are much more comfortable to wear.
